Electrical Maintenance Controls Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Controls Engineer to join our team. This role requires strong knowledge and experience of electrical/automation and PLC systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in PLC fault finding, installation, and maintenance. They will also have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work independently.

The role will involve working as part of the Maintenance Team, providing electrical and PLC technical support to production and other internal functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for fault finding, repair, and maintenance of electrical and PLC controlled machinery, as well as providing plant-wide electrical maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide electrical and PLC technical support to production and other internal functions
  • Fault find, repair, and maintain electrical and PLC controlled machinery
  • Provide plant-wide electrical maintenance services
  • Work independently and as part of the Maintenance Team
  • Develop and implement electrical and PLC maintenance procedures
Requirements:
  • Recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent UK level 3 qualification
  • PLC fault finding experience
  • Strong skills and experience with breakdowns, fault finding, and changing of PLC parameters
  • Experience of installing servo drives and projects, capex improvements, HMI, and profibus
  • Ability to fault find, repair, and provide solutions to electrical machinery problems
