Job Summary

The Mass General Brigham organization is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Shift Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems within our state-of-the-art research facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance and Repair: Diagnose and fix HVAC system issues, conduct routine maintenance and inspections, calibrate control systems, and ensure proper indoor air quality.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, including system failures and building system alarms.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with research personnel to meet specific laboratory and facility needs, adjusting environmental conditions to facilitate groundbreaking studies in immunology, infectious diseases, and related fields.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a robust understanding of HVAC systems, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Journeyman HVAC license highly preferred.
  • Experience: Asset management and CMMS experience, computer experience, and keyboarding skills.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time, hourly position that requires shift flexibility, including evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays to meet operational needs.
