About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Inclusion Mentor to join our team at Clarus Education Ltd. As an Inclusion Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as those with English as an additional language and students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily supervision for students on internal exclusion, maintaining a calm and purposeful environment in line with the principles of the MBS Trauma Informed approach.
  • Offer one-to-one mentoring to students as part of the internal exclusion process and support them in restorative meetings.
  • Support students in classes as required to promote their progress.
  • Deliver timetabled one-to-one mentoring and/or group work on a weekly basis.
  • Provide administrative support as requested by relevant line managers, including processing students on internal exclusion, producing student appointment slips, and contacting parents.
Person Specification
  • Graduate-level qualification or degree in a secondary Ebacc subject.
  • Experience working with children with specific social and emotional needs.
  • Experience working with speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Awareness of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to contribute to a range of teaching, learning, and pastoral activities.
  • Awareness of the Trauma Informed approach to inclusion.
