The organization is in search of a Director of Quality Assurance to oversee the quality function across various locations, including responsibilities for sites in Asia. (Please note, travel to international sites will be infrequent, approximately once every two years).


This critical position is accountable for ensuring that all products, processes, and services adhere to the highest internal and external standards.

You will play a vital role in their dedication to quality, spearheading Zero-Defect initiatives and fostering continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and enhance the Business Quality Management System to fulfill all regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Drive the implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Defect Prevention Tools across the organization.
  • Oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of third-party audits (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP).
  • Manage Internal Audit and Compliance Monitoring programs.
  • Serve as the primary Quality lead and interface for all customer-related Quality matters.
  • Establish and embed Supplier Quality targets, ensuring continuous improvement in Supplier performance and minimizing the cost of non-conformance.

Candidate requirements:

  • Previous experience in Quality Management
  • Proven success in delivering results within a precision engineering firm serving the Aerospace sector
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 standards
  • Familiarity with NADCAP standards is advantageous
  • Practical understanding of APQP and related tools & techniques
  • Auditor trained in AS9100
  • Comprehensive understanding of quality standards and Quality Management Systems with the capability to maintain and enhance
  • Ability to provide concrete examples of executing continuous improvement initiatives using problem-solving methodologies such as 8D reporting, Kaizen, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with customers and suppliers, along with leading audits and customer site evaluations
  • Self-motivated with a strong inclination towards action and results
  • Willingness to engage in day-to-day quality team activities while having the foresight to delegate when necessary
  • Confident in challenging the existing norms
