KS1 Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a thriving Primary School in Havering. As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Class Teacher and providing a high-quality educational experience for our KS1 pupils.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes pupil engagement and motivation.
  • Assist the Class Teacher in planning and delivering learning activities that cater to the diverse needs of our KS1 pupils.
  • Implement school policies and practices that align with our school's ethos and values.
  • Supervise and lead small groups of children, providing individualized support and guidance as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with pupils who require additional learning support, ensuring their needs are met and they feel valued and included.
  • Contribute to the development of a creative and inclusive curriculum that values learning and promotes pupil progress.
Requirements:
  • Hold a minimum of a 2:1 degree in Psychology or Education from a reputable UK University.
  • Have some experience working with children, ideally in a Primary School setting.
  • Exhibit a confident and bubbly personality, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be an aspiring Primary Teacher, eager to gain valuable experience and build a strong understanding of the education sector.
