Principal Engineer - Safety and Assurance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer - Safety and Assurance to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in safety and assurance across various projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to engineers and teams on safety and assurance matters
  • Develop and implement safety and assurance strategies and plans
  • Conduct technical reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with safety and assurance regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate safety and assurance risks
  • Develop and maintain safety and assurance documentation and records
Requirements:
  • Strong technical knowledge of safety and assurance principles and practices
  • Proven experience in a similar role or in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
