About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education to post-16 learners and young adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage learners in lessons, creating a love for learning, by supporting teachers and instructors
  • Help learners build confidence and develop their self-esteem
  • Support the delivery of key life skills
  • Provide essential support in line with learners' specific needs and Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
  • Take part in staff appraisals and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities
  • Complete specific SEND paperwork
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or learning support assistant
  • Previous experience working with SEND learners is desirable
  • Confident in supporting the delivery of core subjects, such as English and Maths
  • Able to drive and have access to your own car
  • Creative, imaginative, and enthusiastic
  • Passionate, resilient, and a genuine desire to make a real difference
  • An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (a willingness to obtain one)
