Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Ledger: Posting invoices, payments, and reconciliations, and dealing with creditors.
  • Sales Ledger: Cash receipts, chasing outstanding debtors.
  • Liaising with Legal Representatives: For the perusal of outstanding debts.
  • Cash Management: Posting bank/cash transactions, monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Staff Expenses: Maintenance/reconciliations of staff expenses/company credit card & petty cash.
  • Cashbook and Cashflow: Managing the day-to-day cashbook & cashflow on Excel.
  • Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Monthly Close Down: Monthly close down of individual ledgers, report printing.
  • Financial Records: Maintenance of full financial records and all ledgers and control accounts using Sage.
  • General Ledger Journals: Posting of monthly general ledger journals.
  • Statutory Records: Maintaining statutory records/filing annual returns.
  • General Administrative Duties: General administrative duties for the directors.
  • VAT Returns: Quarterly VAT returns/PVA reconciliations.
  • Payroll: Monthly payroll - Experience of Sage 50 payroll would be an advantage.
  • Pension Submission: Monthly pension submission.
  • Online Bacs Payments: Online bacs payments.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Experience: Experience in Preparation of annual accounts, using the accruals concept.
