We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Iron Mountain. As a Design Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our data centre projects.
Key Responsibilities- Define project scope and objectives, and develop project plans to achieve them.
- Monitor and control project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure design solutions meet client requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to ensure effective communication and project success.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
- Develop and implement design management processes and protocols to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including design development, construction, and commissioning.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges, and develop strategies to address them.
- Ensure effective handover of projects to clients, including documentation, training, and support.
- Proven experience in design management, preferably in the data centre or critical infrastructure sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of design principles, construction methods, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
- Strong attention to detail, with ability to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of project delivery.
