Practice Environment

Located in a vibrant coastal area, our practice is a Teaching & Research facility that accommodates a diverse range of learners, including students, Registrars, and healthcare professionals. We serve a patient population of 15,300 across two sites, supported by a robust administrative team.

Key Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

  • Conducting face-to-face or telephonic consultations
  • Issuing medical certificates
  • Allocating dedicated administrative time
  • Performing home visits as necessary
  • Reviewing pathology results
  • Managing prescription approvals
  • Preparing medical reports and correspondence
  • Facilitating patient referrals
  • Addressing patient inquiries
  • Contributing to the achievement of full QoF points
  • Collaborating with team members
  • Ensuring time for breaks and meals

Our practice is characterized by a supportive and collaborative environment. Our team comprises:

  • 3 GP Partners
  • 2 Salaried GPs
  • 1 Practice Manager
  • 1 Assistant Practice Manager
  • 2 Department Managers
  • 4 Nurse Practitioners/Advanced Clinical Practitioners
  • 2 Clinical Pharmacists
  • 3 Pharmacy Technicians
  • 5 Practice Nurses
  • 6 Healthcare Assistants

Additionally, our Primary Care Network includes Health & Wellbeing Coaches, Care Coordinators, Nurse Associates, and Pharmacists, among others. We also collaborate with Physiotherapists, Social Prescribers, and Mental Health Workers.

We foster a sense of community with events such as an Annual Surgery BBQ and a Christmas Party.

Job Specifications

For a full-time salaried GP, the commitment would typically involve 9 sessions per week, comprising 8 clinical and 1 educational session. The salaried GP may also serve as the duty doctor on a weekly basis.

  • Valid GP qualification and registration on the performers list.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Minor Surgery.
