The Finance & Tax division is seeking a skilled VAT Compliance Specialist to enhance our team.

The VAT Compliance Specialist will be instrumental in ensuring adherence to UK VAT regulations, including the preparation of the UK Quarterly VAT Return for the VAT Group, insurance broker, and other relevant sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
Your main duty will involve the preparation of the UK Quarterly VAT Return for the VAT Groups.

You will gather data from various IT systems, validate this information, and analyze transactions in accordance with UK VAT legislation.

Additionally, you will conduct transactional assessments following internal procedures and HMRC VAT compliance standards.


Your responsibilities will also include supporting the UK Tax team with International VAT compliance preparation and review, as well as contributing to ongoing process enhancements and system improvements.


Qualifications & Experience:
ACA (or equivalent) or CTA (part or fully) qualified tax professional.

Qualified to CCAB or ATT.

Experience in a complex International Group with various VAT recoverable rates.

Proficient in the production of UK and International VAT returns.

Strong understanding of current UK and International VAT legislation.

Familiarity with VAT-specific software, such as Alpha VAT, is advantageous.

Excellent communication and influencing skills with stakeholders at all levels.

Experience in data manipulation from multiple sources.

Advanced Excel skills are preferred but not mandatory.

You will be highly organized with exceptional time management skills,

possessing a proactive attitude and natural problem-solving abilities, along with a keen attention to detail.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential.
