Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating effectively with patients and fellow professionals to ensure optimal care and treatment results.
  • Leading multidisciplinary care initiatives.
  • Participating in service enhancement and governance activities, including quality improvement projects.
  • Fostering positive relationships with external partners, including NHS England case managers.
  • Conducting psychiatric evaluations for female patients referred to the unit to ascertain the appropriate level of care required.
  • Delivering oral and written testimony at First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearings.
  • Staying informed on the latest advancements by attending conferences and online training.

Qualifications Required:

  • Full GMC registration and Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
  • Eligibility for (or imminent entry to) the GMC specialist register for either forensic or general adult psychiatry.
  • Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status.
  • Good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and current appraisals.
