Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating effectively with patients and fellow professionals to ensure optimal care and treatment results.
- Facilitating multidisciplinary care approaches.
- Engaging in service enhancement and governance initiatives, including quality improvement projects.
- Establishing strong relationships with external partners, including NHS England case managers.
- Conducting psychiatric evaluations for female patients referred to the unit to ascertain the suitable level of care.
- Providing oral and written testimony at First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearings.
- Staying current with the latest advancements by participating in conferences and online training.
Qualifications Required:
- Full GMC registration and Membership in the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- Eligibility for (or imminent entry into) the GMC specialist register for either forensic or general adult psychiatry.
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status.
- Good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and current appraisals.
