The successful candidate will work closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team and associated clerical staff to ensure the timely movement of cancer and potential cancer patients through their journey from referral onwards. This will involve facilitating the collection, analysis, and presentation of cancer waiting times data.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the efficient coordination of patient pathways
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Analyzing and presenting data to inform healthcare decisions
- Developing and implementing process improvements to enhance patient outcomes
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of healthcare systems and processes is essential, as is proficiency in the use of software systems, particularly Microsoft Office.
Minimum requirements include:
- HNC/SVQIII in Business Administration/Information Management/Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in use of software systems, in particular Microsoft Office
- Advanced keyboard skills
Desirable qualifications include:
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of computer systems in use in the Greater Glasgow & Clyde
- Medical terminology
- Knowledge of cancer and cancer referral pathways
