Argyll and Bute Council is seeking a dedicated Roads Working Foreperson to join our team in the Helensburgh/Lomond area.

This full-time position offers 37 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and improving our road network, ensuring safe and efficient transportation for our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate daily tasks related to road construction, repair, and maintenance.
  • Supervise and guide a team of skilled workers, providing clear instructions and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to implement road improvement projects.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations, addressing road hazards and disruptions promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.

Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in road construction and maintenance, along with strong leadership and communication skills. A relevant qualification or certification is desirable but not essential.
