Treaty Underwriter

SCOR is seeking a highly skilled Treaty Underwriter - Casualty to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our Casualty Treaty team, you will be responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of Casualty Treaty business, working closely with clients and colleagues to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:- Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Casualty Treaty business, including coordinating and driving underwriting activities, analyzing treaty submissions, and preparing underwriting decision proposals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including representing SCOR at meetings and keeping records in Salesforce.
- Monitor and report on incomes, aggregates, and other exposures, as well as providing ad-hoc reporting to UK and Group management.
- Participate in the production of the Underwriting Plan, proposing objectives, strategies, and target clients, and assume responsibility for implementing and accuracy of the plan within your area of competence.
- Significant prior experience in Treaty environment, with a strong focus on Casualty Treaty LoBs.
- Proven marketing and business development abilities.
- Prior knowledge of London market and wordings experience.
- Familiarity with pricing methodologies and actuarial principles.
- Highly numerate and analytical with excellent understanding of actuarial and pricing.
- Good communicator/networker.
- Strong negotiation skills and solution-minded.
- Team-spirited but also a self-starter, able to work on own initiative.
- Well organized with a good sense of priorities.
- Resilient and flexible with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excel - Advanced level (Pivot tables, formulae, VLook-up).
- Word.
- Power point.
- Higher Education to University level or similar standard preferred.
- Further insurance or financial-related studies desirable e.g. ACII qualification or equivalent.
