Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and professional Ward Clerk to join our team at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As the first point of contact for our Surgical Ward patients and visitors, you will provide a warm and welcoming experience, ensuring that our patients and their families feel supported and cared for.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive team environment, providing administrative and clerical support to the Ward Team. You will be responsible for maintaining effective communication with patients, relatives, and staff, ensuring the smooth running of the ward and enhancing patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a proactive and professional welcome to the Ward reception
  • Deliver an efficient administrative and clerical service to the Ward Team
  • Maintain effective communication to both patients, relatives, and staff
  • Ensure all information is secure and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times
  • Provide excellent customer care, including communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives
  • Ensure the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times
Working Pattern
