About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Recovery Navigator to join our team at The Forward Trust. As a Recovery Navigator, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with complex needs, including substance misuse and mental health issues, to achieve positive change and reduce reoffending.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry a diverse caseload of adult male prison leavers and those on community orders, providing support and guidance to implement their action plan and navigate their recovery journey.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, create collaborative action plans, and deliver structured one-to-one and group work sessions, while maintaining accurate record keeping.
  • Work across London, providing flexibility and resilience against changing demand, and deliver services that enhance access to treatment and provide additional support and guidance.
  • Develop strong working relationships with partner agencies and probation staff to ensure effective delivery of outcomes.
  • Meet targets set by The Forward Trust and local commissioners, and adhere to the organization's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of the criminal justice sector, with a strong understanding of substance misuse and related issues.
  • Excellent experience of working in a related field, with a proven track record of managing high caseloads and delivering effective interventions.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with treatment and healthcare services, and a strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches.
  • Ability to set and stick to professional boundaries, and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Level 3 substance misuse related qualification or working knowledge of substance misuse services.
