About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Podiatrist to join our team at Solent NHS Trust. As an Apprentice Podiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with at-risk feet, working closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake comprehensive wound assessments and develop treatment plans to promote healing and prevent further complications.
- Conduct complex MSK assessments and provide management and treatment options for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to influence the quality and type of care provided across the risk foot and MSK pathway.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and referrals.
Requirements
- BSc Podiatry or equivalent qualification.
- Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Postgraduate training in advanced wound management and MSK assessment.
- IRMER qualification and up-to-date training in infection management.
- Experience working in at-risk foot care and offloading.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
