Are you a seasoned Quantity Surveyor with a background in the residential construction sector looking for a rewarding opportunity?

We are excited to present a role for a Lead Cost Estimator to become part of a dynamic Commercial Division within a nationally recognized builder.

About the Company

Our client is a premier developer in the UK, renowned for delivering exceptional design and construction services across a diverse portfolio of residential properties, including upscale homes, townhouses, and apartment complexes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the broader Commercial, Estimating, and Procurement teams to manage cost control and financial reporting for housing projects in the designated area.
  • Participate in development meetings, contract pre-start discussions, and subcontract package evaluations.
  • Disseminate design information and tender documentation, ensuring thorough preliminary checks on subcontractors.
  • Conduct construction cost assessments, analyzing bids from tender inquiries and requesting any additional information as necessary.
  • Evaluate site staffing requirements and construction schedules alongside the Construction Director to determine initial cost estimates, compiling all relevant cost data to establish the project budget.
  • Organize and facilitate budget reconciliation meetings with the support of the Commercial team.
