Experienced Behaviour Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at GSL Education - Bournemouth. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a local mainstream primary school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN, enabling them to access the learning and receive tailored support and provision.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to engage learners, meet individual needs, and communicate effectively with pupils.
  • Utilize effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a school setting, preferably with children with SEN or complex additional learning and behavioural needs.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of pupils with confidence and resilience.
