GSL Education - Bournemouth is seeking an experienced Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a local primary school in Christchurch.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to provide support and contribute to ensuring a peaceful classroom environment for our primary school students. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience, a genuine love for high-quality primary education, and the patience to work with children who require additional support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in classroom activities, collaborating with teachers to enhance learning and promote pupil engagement.
  • Help teachers by intervening when students display challenging or disruptive behaviours, handling them with care and reinforcing good behaviour through consistent and positive approaches.
  • Provide personalised support to students, reinforcing concepts and assisting in their academic journey.
  • Organise and prepare teaching materials for effective learning, including taking ownership over interventions.
Requirements:
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
