Automation Talent is seeking an experienced PLC Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for delivering complex automation systems to customer requirements and programme schedules within budget. Your expertise in PLC systems, SCADA/HMI applications, and serial interfaces will be essential in taking ownership of all aspects of software engineering, including requirements specification and management, design, implementation, functional safety, testing, configuration management, and quality assurance. You will also be responsible for producing project documentation, writing specifications, schedules, and technical reports, as well as interfacing with clients on technical matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC systems, including Rockwell, ControlLogix, PLC2, PLC5, SLC500, Siemens: S5, S7, Modicon: 984, Omron, and Mitsubishi, as well as experience with SCADA/HMI applications, serial interfaces, and fault diagnosis within IT and PLC/SCADA system architectures. Additionally, you will have excellent time management and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and use your own initiative. **Key Responsibilities:**

* Deliver complex automation systems to customer requirements and programme schedules within budget
* Take ownership of all aspects of software engineering, including requirements specification and management, design, implementation, functional safety, testing, configuration management, and quality assurance
* Produce project documentation, write specifications, schedules, and technical reports
* Interface with clients on technical matters

**Essential Skills and Qualifications:**

* Strong background in PLC systems, including Rockwell, ControlLogix, PLC2, PLC5, SLC500, Siemens: S5, S7, Modicon: 984, Omron, and Mitsubishi
* Experience with SCADA/HMI applications, serial interfaces, and fault diagnosis within IT and PLC/SCADA system architectures
* Excellent time management and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and use your own initiative

**Desirable Skills and Qualifications:**

* Experience in multiple industry sectors
* Experience with modelled requirements
* Experience with developing.net applications
* Knowledge of IEC61508/61511 Safety Guidelines
* Good Presentation and communication skills
