About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Insurance Team Leader to join our team at The Ardonagh Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a team of insurance professionals and driving business growth through strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company objectives and drive revenue growth.
  • Lead and manage a team of insurance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Collaborate with the Broking Manager to develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve annual targets and budgets.
  • Proactively prospect new business opportunities, maintain strong relationships with existing clients, and secure renewal business.
  • Monitor team performance against objectives, forecasts, plans, targets, and budgets, and provide regular feedback to the Broking Manager.
  • Carry out appraisals and performance reviews, and manage the team on a day-to-day basis, including monitoring holidays and sicknesses.
  • Ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements, and carry out regular file audits.
Requirements
  • Extensive insurance broking experience, with a strong understanding of commercial and personal lines insurance.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading and developing a team.
  • Strong business development and sales skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
