About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to shape the company's procurement strategy and drive business growth by developing and implementing a global category sourcing strategy.
- Develop and implement a global category sourcing strategy to support business opportunities and achieve high levels of supplier performance.
- Monitor industry trends and category cost and risk drivers to inform key bids and projects.
- Engage with stakeholders to share economic indicators and identify potential new suppliers.
- Support new product development teams to identify new categories of spend.
- Lead annual cost reduction planning and initiatives.
- Work closely with bid procurement managers to ensure accurate pricing in bids.
- Define requirements and tender key indirect categories of spend.
- Chair Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers to drive performance improvement.
- Implement multi-year pricing agreements to ensure accurate de-risked pricing.
- Manage a category risk register to identify and mitigate risks.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Collaborative and strong negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial cost modelling.
- CIPS certification and degree in business (ideal but not essential).
