Position Overview

As a Maintenance Control Engineer in our Paint shop, you will play a crucial role in providing engineering support to enhance production efficiency and ensure the reliability of all related plant equipment. You will be the first point of contact for addressing equipment and process-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to deliver safe and efficient production performance, adhering to the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & Environment framework.
  • Offer process expertise and support for continuous improvement initiatives alongside integrated production and maintenance teams.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes and facility layouts.
  • Oversee the execution of process modifications and ensure all documentation is accurately updated.
  • Provide technical guidance during team problem-solving sessions to effectively identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Contribute to environmental sustainability efforts to uphold required standards.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient technical skills in mechanical and electrical automotive engineering acquired in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC, electrical control, and mechanical systems.
  • Relevant NVQ/BTEC Level 3 or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a similar maintenance role within manufacturing operations.
