About the Role

Our client, a leading retail business headquartered in London, is seeking a People Business Partner to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis covering a maternity leave for 14 months, starting at the end of October 2024.

This role will act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across a crucial business directorate, liaising closely with stakeholders to cultivate an agile, high-performing culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing data and reporting to identify insights and trends, to incorporate into the directorate's people plan
  • Building and developing high-performing teams by delivering a robust talent process that identifies gaps, and supports development and succession planning
  • Fostering an effective performance management culture, educating managers on how to effectively performance manage with realistic objectives and tangible measures
  • Working in partnership with the employee relations team to coach and guide leaders through complex ER cases, to help mitigate risk to the business
Requirements

We are looking for dynamic HR Business Partners with a solutions-focused approach, and a concise and articulate communication style, adept at operating in a fast-paced, commercial environment.

Applicants for this role should be able to demonstrate a strong track record in managing and driving HR strategy in a fast-paced, complex environment, as well as effectively and impactfully supporting a business unit through operational change.

Ideally, candidates will have experience operating within the retail industry and a good knowledge of the role and challenges of IT, digital, and social media within a retail business.
