We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to join our team at Octavius Infrastructure. As a key member of our Stations and Buildings framework, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of rail infrastructure projects in the Wales & Western region.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive support to our Framework Engineering & Assurance Lead in the delivery of projects.
- Assist with project support activities and manage Engineering Management Plans.
- Ensure the use of competent in-house and external engineering resources.
- Support project teams with risk management, commercial, and compliance issues.
- Appoint design/engineering roles and review design briefs.
- Manage project interfaces, hazards, and temporary conditions.
- Liaise with designers and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews.
- Provide technical support and solutions to construction teams.
- Mentor and promote professional growth among engineers and graduates.
- Professionally qualified engineer with demonstrable experience in the role of Contractor's Engineering Manager.
- Proven experience in the delivery of multidisciplinary rail projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction techniques and processes commonly used across rail infrastructure projects for both permanent & temporary works.
- Clear understanding of the particular multi-disciplinary coordination issues associated with stations, footbridges, and other lineside buildings.
- Practical and working knowledge of the procedures associated with the delivery of new stations or AfA schemes for Network Rail.
- Experience of the CDM 2015 regulations and how they can be implemented successfully to ensure the safe delivery of our project with a focus on Design & Engineering.
