HOLMES Coordinator

Join Cumbria Constabulary as a HOLMES Coordinator and play a vital role in supporting major investigations.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a HOLMES Coordinator. As a key member of our Force Major Investigations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the provision of HOLMES staff and IT equipment, as well as supporting major investigations by undertaking specific HOLMES roles.

• Setting up new Major Incident Rooms (MIRs) and managing the creation of new HOLMES databases
• Operating the HOLMES system efficiently and accurately, ensuring adherence to national guidelines
• Delivering force HOLMES training needs and providing refresher training to MIR staff
• Advising and assisting staff on HOLMES and MIR systems during live, major investigations
• Liaising closely with IT and regional/national partners to ensure the monitoring of HOLMES system
• Providing Mutual Aid to other forces if required and attending national & regional HOLMES user groups/conferences
• Attending and contributing to briefings and presenting findings
• Maintaining and providing sufficient equipment in MIR's across the force
• Working in partnership with internal departments to provide advice, support and training around the use of Casualty bureau, child rescue alert and any HOLMES related roles within the DVI arena

We are looking for an individual with extensive knowledge of cloud-based/electronic HOLMES and a strong understanding of the principles contained in the Murder Investigation Manual and the Major Investigation Room Standard Administrative Procedures (MIRSAP). The successful candidate will also be required to undergo a thorough vetting process before being confirmed in role.
