Spinwell is seeking a Lead Safety Assessment Expert for a significant role within the public sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE LEAD SAFETY ASSESSMENT EXPERT
Oversee a team of Safety Assessment Specialists in the creation and delivery of safety justification and documentation through the governance framework.
Assume responsibility for safety justification and documentation as directed by the Group Leader or SESH Management.
Ensure that organizational strategies, policies, and management system requirements regarding safety are effectively communicated and comprehended.
Contribute to processes that evaluate the performance of safety assessments and compliance with Licence Conditions, identifying areas for enhancement.
Provide mentorship to others in safety assessment methodologies, documentation, and techniques.
Uphold and advocate for high standards in security, environmental protection, safety, and health.
The Company may request you to undertake any other reasonable duties aligned with your role as needed to meet business requirements.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OF THE LEAD SAFETY ASSESSMENT EXPERT
Proven experience in nuclear hazard analysis (HAZAN):
Design Basis Assessment
Unmitigated dose assessments for safety function classification.
Derivation of classification for necessary safety systems.
Understanding of various protection methods and the justification for their necessity.
Hazard Identification.
Experience in managing Safety cases.
