Job Summary:

eTeach UK Limited is seeking a reliable and dynamic individual to provide support to the examination process as a Sessional Exam Invigilator. The successful candidate will ensure that the conduct of examinations takes place within the guidelines set down by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the examination process, ensuring that all examinations are conducted in accordance with JCQ guidelines.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of examinations.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with candidates, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage situations involving different groups of people, providing a reassuring presence in exam rooms.
  • Give instructions and manage exam sessions with confidence and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Good general education, including at least GCSE (or equivalent) in English.
  • Reliable, flexible, and readily available during main examination periods.
  • Effective communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and manage situations involving different groups of people.

Working Hours:

The main examination period takes place in May and June, with other sessions occurring throughout the year. The length of sessions can vary, with morning sessions beginning at 08:30 and afternoon sessions beginning at 13:00.

Hourly Rate:

The hourly rate for this role is £12.97, with an increased rate of £13.64 for lead invigilators.
