The Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team on a contract basis. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the overall performance of plant, machinery, and electrical installations on the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that planned preventative maintenance and electrical contractor service inspections are conducted on time, as dictated by the PM system and service contracts.
  • Complete repairs and breakdowns in a timely manner and perform root cause analyses to ensure corrective and preventative actions are taken.
  • Manage external contractors, issue work permits for electrical activities, and carry out active monitoring.
  • Identify best practices and implement improvements to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with external professionals and specialists as necessary to achieve the necessary results.
  • Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping, cleaning, and hygiene.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures to ensure that all work is carried out in a controlled manner.
  • Immediately escalate any serious failure that could adversely affect health and safety, environment, or product quality.
  • Ensure that all relevant departments are kept informed of planned electrical engineering activities in their area.

Requirements:

  • Time served accredited apprentice or equivalent experience with appropriate certification; City & Guilds 2365 Electrical installations, or working towards one of these standards.
  • Experience in PLC fault finding is desirable but not essential.

Working Hours:

The role will be working Monday to Friday, rotating shifts between 06:00am - 14:00pm and 14:00pm - 22:00pm.

Rate:

The rate for this role will be between £30.00ph - £35.00ph.
