Key Responsibilities- Exchange Position Management: Daily validation of exchange positions across various exchanges, including oil, gas, and power products.
- Futures and Options Expirations: Manage futures and options expirations, including associated physical delivery and settlement.
- Collateral Management: Oversee collateral management, including settlement of daily margin calls, margin analysis, optimization, and stress testing.
- Transaction Cost Management: Process, reconcile, and settle transaction costs, including brokerage, and identify opportunities to reduce costs.
- Trading Book Verification: Ensure all entries within the trading book are correct and verified against ICE, CME, and other exchanges.
- Partnering and Collaboration: Partner with traders, exchanges, clearing brokers, and cross-functional teams to onboard new trading desks and platforms.
- Reporting and Communication: Report listed options and futures expirations to trading desks and middle office, and provide ongoing support and communication to traders regarding market access, trade execution, and operational processes.
- Product Enablement and Compliance: Collaborate with exchanges and clearing brokers on product enablement and compliance items to ensure smooth trading operations.
- Daily Position Management: Monitor and report key metrics related to trading activities and performance.
- Physical Delivery and Compliance: Support the physical delivery of futures and options, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and operational requirements.
- Cost and Fee Management: Assist in the management and reporting of costs and fees related to exchange business, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
- Vendor Engagement: Engage with external vendors and stakeholders to enhance trade execution platform support and resolve operational issues.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in commodity trading, preferably in an area covering exchange traded derivatives.
- Skills: Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a high-intensity environment, excellent problem-solving and numerical skills, and strong technical skills, including Python, SQL, and VBA.
- Personal Qualities: Highest level of ownership and accountability, strong organizational and communication skills, and ability to work in a team-centered environment.
