Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair work on a wide range of engineering services, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Work on Air Handling Units, commercial heating systems, and pipework, requiring a multi-skilled, electrically biased engineer with experience in these areas.
  • Contribute to the development of the service, ensuring that the Trust's Vision and Values are maintained at all times, focusing on engineering excellence, integrity, and support for the wider team.
  • Comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, including Legionella, Electrical Safety Policy, Asbestos, and Permit to Work Policies and Procedures.

Requirements
  • Essential:
    • Experience in Air Handling Units, commercial heating systems, and pipework.
    • Multi-skilled, electrically biased engineer with a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work flexibly, including out-of-hours emergency faults.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience in a similar role within the NHS or a similar healthcare organization.
    • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
