External Affairs Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled External Affairs Manager to join our team in the Chief Executive's Office at the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH). This is a new permanent role to support our wider remit.

About the Role

You will have experience of stakeholder management and external affairs, preferably within a central government or social housing context. This should include experience of stakeholder mapping and analysis, building external relationships, planning and delivering activities, and collaborating across teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Write high-quality speeches and other communications materials
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including social housing providers and government officials
  • Contribute to the development of social housing policy and regulation issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver activities and projects
What We Offer

We operate a hybrid model of working with a mix of office and home working. Our Manchester office will be relocating during 2024/25, however will remain within the city centre. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements and staff can benefit from working from home for part of their hours.

Most roles involve some travel within England between our offices, with some roles also involving onsite visits to social housing providers.
