About the Role

The University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Digital Systems Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, supporting the development and implementation of digital systems that improve patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Digital Clinical Systems Team, ensuring effective support and development of clinical systems.
  • Implement and manage best practice support processes for Incidents, Requests, Change, and problems using the Digital Departments ServiceNow toolset.
  • Develop and implement a continuous improvement methodology to optimize clinical systems and workflows.
  • Ensure the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system is supported and runs effectively at all times, liaising with suppliers and managing conflicting priorities.
  • Support the embedding of Standard Work across the Trust's usage of EPR and clinical systems.
  • Manage knowledge management for the support team and support the Digital Clinicians in developing end-user knowledge management.
  • Represent the Digital Department at internal and external meetings, supporting all areas of Digital to meet the Trust's requirements.
  • Deputize for the Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) on non-clinical areas.
  • Responsible for building and changing EPR workflows, forms, functionality, and configuration items.
  • Responsible for configuring all clinical systems managed by the team, including electronic document management, digital dictation/voice recognition, and patient portal.
  • Provide Business as Usual (BAU) support for all clinical systems in partnership with the other Digital Clinical Systems Manager.
  • Support the handover of projects to BAU support, ensuring all required documents, processes, and training are undertaken by the required teams.
  • Responsible for prioritizing configuration changes and development work, working closely with the Associate Director of Digital Programmes and the Head of Digital Programmes.
  • Ensure consistency of design and build across all Clinical systems.
  • Support the procurement of all clinical systems, creating specifications, scoring, and determining requirements for the Trust.
  • Work with the Digital Clinical Team to ensure adoption and embedding of standard work and best practice by staff across the Trust.
  • Contribute to the Digital strategy and help determine the implementation plan.
  • Develop business cases, reports, and other papers as needed by the Trust.
  • Support effective supplier management, ensuring SLAs and contractual compliance is achieved in the best interest of the Trust.
