Position Overview
The Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a dedicated and proactive Office Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing comprehensive clerical assistance to ensure the smooth operation of our services. Candidates should possess prior experience in a busy office setting and demonstrate exceptional communication abilities. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage telephone inquiries from patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring messages are accurately recorded and directed as necessary.
- Assist with general inquiries from both telephone and in-person visitors.
- Collect and input statistical data using IT systems to support service enhancement and auditing processes.
- Contribute to the review and improvement of administrative systems and procedures.
- Maintain an organized electronic diary for room bookings and manage filing systems, both manual and digital.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring proper sorting and distribution.
- Keep accurate records of goods and services received and dispatched, as assigned.
- Support the administrative team in managing stationery supplies and equipment inventory.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions relevant to the role.
