Trainee Installation Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Trainee Installation Engineer to join our team in the Northampton area. Our company specializes in designing, installing, and maintaining ventilation systems for various industries, including Aerospace, Motorsport, Education, Defence, Nuclear, and Renewables.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Fitting team with the installation of industrial bespoke extraction systems nationwide. This role requires regular use of scissor lifts and cherry pickers, as well as maintaining stocks of standard parts and spare parts on service vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with the installation of extraction systems on customer premises.
  2. Operate scissor lifts and cherry pickers safely and efficiently.
  3. Maintain stocks of standard parts and spare parts on service vehicles.
  4. Ensure all tools and equipment used are in good working order.

Requirements:

  1. Mechanical mindset, either through employment or education.
  2. Knowledge of LEV systems and a mechanical background would be an advantage.
  3. IPAF, FLT, PASMA, CSCS would be beneficial.
  4. Full UK driving license would be advantageous but not mandatory.
  5. Experience in the industry is not essential, as full training will be provided.
  6. Committed team player with excellent time-keeping and verbal communication skills.
  7. Ability to work at heights and listen to instructions.

Benefits:

  1. Competitive salary of £24,000-£28,000 DOE.
  2. Permanent, full-time position with a Monday to Thursday 08.00-17.00 and Friday 08.00-15.00 schedule.
