Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hydrologist to join our Water Environment team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading hydrological and hydraulic modeling projects, developing relationships with clients and regulators, and mentoring junior consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead hydrological and hydraulic modeling projects, including flood risk assessments and research
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and regulators, including the Environment Agency and Lead Local Flood Authorities
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants, providing guidance and support to ensure their success
  • Contribute to business development and growth, identifying new opportunities and developing proposals
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the company to deliver projects and achieve business objectives

Requirements

  • Strong Bachelor's degree in a water-related subject, with a higher degree preferred
  • Substantial experience in hydrological and hydraulic modeling, including flood risk assessments and research
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results
  • Knowledge of current planning policies and procedures, including the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and Technical Advice Note 15 (TAN 15)
