The Role

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with educators and the SEND Coordinator to deliver personalized support, ensuring all learners receive a high-quality educational experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the learning and growth of students with SEND.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide individualized and small group assistance, both within and outside the classroom setting.
  • Help foster a secure, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
  • Support classroom management and organization.
  • Track and communicate pupil progress to teachers and the SEND Coordinator.
  • Assist students with personal care needs, if necessary.
  • Engage in school events and activities.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications or experience as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary educational setting.
  • A kind and patient demeanor when working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work effectively within a team.
  • Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable
  • Specific training or qualifications in SEND.
  • Experience with various SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and physical disabilities.
  • Familiarity with relevant educational tools and strategies.
