The individual in this role will offer assistance to learners to ensure they enjoy a fulfilling experience, facilitating the organization of events and activities while promoting student involvement to aid their development and transition to academic life.
They will also contribute to the arrangement of a diverse array of enrichment activities, which includes events, clubs, societies, and excursions, as well as supporting the planning and execution of orientation and arrival programs.
Furthermore, the individual will collaborate with the Progression Support Team, the broader Student Experience Team, and the Senior Leadership Team, providing assistance at the Student Support Helpdesk.
Support will include researching, organizing, coordinating, and executing appealing activities and events for international learners, engaging with students about potential events and fostering participation and attendance.- To communicate with educators and assist with school trips
- To aid in the planning of university visit days and help manage the college allocation process
- Engage with students regarding sports development initiatives, working closely with the university and sports teams
- To assist in creating risk assessments for events and ensuring compliance with legal standards
- To support the establishment of student volunteering opportunities with local organizations.
- To assist with the arrival process for students, ensuring their welfare upon arrival, particularly for those under 18.
- Understanding of student database systems (Desirable)
- Awareness of data protection regulations (Essential)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel (Essential)
