Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and capable logistics coordinator to join our team as a Transport Planner. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning UK transport in a specialist sector, ensuring that logistics are efficient and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan all UK transport to meet and exceed customer requirements
  • Ensure planning is carried out in the most efficient and cost-effective way to achieve optimum margin potential
  • Ensure all collections and deliveries are planned and booked in on time to meet customer requirements in full
  • Escalate all fluctuations in volume well in advance to assist and support an effective resolution
  • Ensure internal and external communication lines are proportionate, clear, and respectful
  • All transport must be costed to each transport partner based on their location and cost impact

Requirements:

  • Logical reasoning and effective problem-solving skills
  • From an Operations planning and logistics network, Fleet management background
