About the Role
The York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Nurse or Allied Health Professional to join our commercial research team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the management and coordination of commercial research projects involving patients, families, and carers at our hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management and coordination of commercial research projects, ensuring compliance with UK and EU legal requirements, Trust policies, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
- Facilitate the aims of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) at a local level by ensuring the Trust meets its targets for research delivery.
- Work as an integral part of the commercial research team, coordinating, delivering, monitoring, and recording the care and progress of patients involved in research studies and clinical trials.
- Promote the work of research within the Trust and contribute to the development of our commercial portfolio.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse or other trained Registered Allied Health Professional with commercial research experience.
- Training in ICH-GCP clinical trial standards and the detailed trial-specific rules it provides for administration and record keeping.
- Professional clinical knowledge of nursing patients or patient care, acquired through at least 2 years post-registration experience.
- Understanding of the local and National nursing agenda, National Service Frameworks, and National guidance.
- Understanding of research-based practice and evidence of continued professional development.
