Babcock International is seeking a skilled Driver - Valeter to join our team at RAF Wyton. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of passengers and freight to various destinations across the United Kingdom.
The Role
As a Driver - Valeter, you will have a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring adherence to EU Drivers Hours Regulations (EU Regulation 561)
- Conducting daily vehicle inspections, undertaking valeting tasks, and maintaining the overall condition of the transport fleet
- Accurate reporting of vehicle defects
- Diligent completion and utilisation of tachographs
- Prompt notification of accidents, injuries, near-misses, or dangerous occurrences to line management
This full-time position is based at RAF Wyton and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in coach driving
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- A strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
You will also need to hold a Full UK Driving Licence with Category D and a Driver CPC - Certificate of Professional Competency.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC Security Clearance.
