Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity has emerged within the Cardiology Department at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Our renowned cardiology service at Hammersmith Hospital operates as a tertiary referral cardiac center, guided by leading academic specialists in the field.

We leverage advanced clinical innovations to address and prevent heart-related conditions, offering a comprehensive array of assessments, treatments, and management strategies for various cardiac issues. Our services cater to a diverse patient population, including specialized clinics for individuals with end-stage kidney disease, alongside a national pulmonary hypertension service. While our primary cardiology operations are centered at Hammersmith Hospital, we also extend our services to other facilities.

We seek a proactive and motivated individual to join our administrative and clerical team. The ideal candidate will exhibit outstanding administrative and medical secretarial capabilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize their workload efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will encompass:

  • Delivering a thorough clerical and administrative support service for the Cardiology Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) team and other cardiology units.
  • Entering data into Excel spreadsheets and various data management systems.
  • Coordinating appointments in alignment with Trust policies.
  • Engaging with patients, relatives, staff, and multidisciplinary teams as necessary.
  • Responding to phone inquiries from patients and clinical teams regarding bookings.
