Job Title: Senior SEND Case Manager Lead

We are seeking an experienced Senior SEND Case Manager to join our team as a Lead Case Manager for SEND. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and passionate team, making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

About the Role:

As a Senior SEND Case Manager Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of SEND Casework Practitioners, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to children and young people with SEND. You will work closely with key stakeholders, including children and young people, their families, and educational settings, to ensure collaborative working and the promotion of safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct line management of SEND Casework Practitioners, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Developing and managing high-quality EHCPs and case work, through participation in an innovative SEND Audit programme.
  • Deputising for the SEND Practice Manager when required, with opportunities for career development.
  • Attendance at weekly Multi-Disciplinary decision-making forums, making informed decisions for children and young people.
  • Working in partnership to build strong and proactive relationships with all stakeholders, including children and young people, their families, and educational settings.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience of working within a dynamic and busy SEND Team.
  • Thorough knowledge of SEN(D) Code of Practice and Children and Families Act, implementing SEND Reforms and good practice on inclusive education.
  • Experience of line managing, including both established Team members and inducting new colleagues.
