Statutory Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Statutory Accountant to join our Finance Division at Lawes Group Recruitment. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts, month-end reporting, and liaising with auditors.
Key Responsibilities:- Statutory Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit statutory financial statements across 15 entities in compliance with UK GAAP.
- Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements, tax regulations, and accounting standards.
- Tax and Regulatory Filings: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Financial Analysis: Monitor and analyze financial data to identify areas for process improvement and enhance efficiency.
- Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and tax teams, to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.
- Qualifications: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with significant experience in statutory accounting and financial reporting.
- Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge of UK GAAP or IFRS and experience in preparing statutory financial statements. Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping and reporting.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Good excel skills. Excellent communication skills.
