About the Role
The Pharmacy Technician - Clinical Support Specialist will work closely with the Clinical Pharmacist team to provide clinical support and expertise in medication optimization, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives within the Primary Care Network (PCN). This role will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of clinical pathways, protocols, and guidelines to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support and expertise to the Clinical Pharmacist team in medication optimization, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement clinical pathways, protocols, and guidelines to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Pharmacist team to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
- Support the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to improve patient safety and reduce healthcare costs.
- Provide training and education to healthcare professionals on medication optimization, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences.
- Experience of working as a qualified, registered pharmacy technician in primary care, community, or hospital pharmacy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
