About the Role

As a VAT Associate Director at RSM, you will play a key role in supporting clients across the Real Estate and Construction sector. Your expertise will be invaluable in navigating the complexities of VAT and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for VAT-related queries and issues.
  • VAT Advisory Services: Provide expert VAT advice to clients on land and property matters, ensuring they are aware of their VAT obligations and opportunities.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Real Estate tax specialists to provide VAT input into tax structuring and Real Estate tax due diligence projects.
  • Team Development: Develop and mentor junior team members, delegating tasks, providing on-the-job coaching, and offering formal feedback to ensure their growth and success.
  • Business Development: Contribute to business development initiatives, including proposal preparation for new work and building relationships with clients and targets.
About the Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an experienced VAT professional with a strong background in VAT advisory services, preferably at Manager or Associate Director level. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of winning work and/or unlocking fees from existing client bases.

  • Qualifications: CTA qualified or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience operating at Associate Director level or equivalent, with a strong understanding of VAT issues in the Real Estate and Construction sector.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a national team, with excellent client-handling and relationship-building skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Embracing an inclusive approach to people development and supervision, with strong coaching abilities.
