About the Role

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation, is seeking an experienced Information Governance Manager to lead strategic information and records management initiatives. This is a 6-month contract with potential to extend, offering a competitive rate of circa. £300/day (Outside of IR35).

This role will involve a hybrid of working from home and in the office, requiring a strong understanding of information management principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Information Management: Lead the development and implementation of the organisation's Information Management Strategy, Records Management Plan, and Business Classification Scheme.
  • Records Management: Review and maintain records management policies, including Vital Records, Records Management, Data, Disposal, Appraisal, and Storage of Physical Records.
  • Training and Development: Develop and provide records management training materials to support the organisation's IM capabilities.
  • EDRMS Management: Lead the organisation's business user for the EDRMS, including upgrades and functionality development.
  • Representation: Represent the organisation on the EDRMS Multi-Authority Group.
  • IRM Input: Provide specialist IRM input for transformation programmes and services.
  • Board Representation: Attend Joint Architecture Board and Business Development Board to provide IM input.
  • Information Asset Management: Chair and manage the Information Asset Board and Records Management Sub-Group.
  • Data Governance: Implement data audits across key applications/systems to ensure adherence to data policies.
  • Data Quality: Develop and support the Data Steward network and relevant training, promoting good data practice and monitoring compliance.
  • M365 Functionality: Develop and maintain policies to support M365 functionality deployment, including usage monitoring and assurance on policy adherence.
About You

We are seeking an experienced Information Governance Manager with a strong background in information management principles and practices. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
